The context
The consequences of anti-personnel mines extend far beyond the immediate course of a war. The conference was designed to bring medical, psychological and humanitarian perspectives together in Berlin and make them visible to the public and to decision-makers.
Our brief
Altner & Nemirovski developed the conference format, coordinated experts and people directly affected, and led the communications and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
Strategy and delivery
The programme combined personal experience with specialist expertise from medicine, psychology, business, civil protection and civil society. The result was a focused forum for dialogue, informed analysis and practical assistance.
Outcome
International experts and people affected by landmines in Ukraine and Azerbaijan came together in Berlin. A boy who had lost his leg received a prosthesis free of charge from one of the participating companies. He was also offered consultations with leading physicians in Berlin.
